What one writer does in a day can be really different to another, so a day rate doesn’t tell you much. Instead, I quote tailored project costs from brief to brief. To give you a rough idea, a voice or verbal branding project for a startup or SME could cost £2000+VAT and up. All-singing, all-dancing guidelines start at £5000+VAT, depending on the specifics. But the only way to know for sure how much your project might cost is to ask; send me your brief for an estimate.

Both! While I’ve run plenty of tone of voice and brand messaging workshops online – and it really works – I also love to do this kind of work face to face. It’s easier to get everyone involved and gives me an excuse to dress like a professional business person.* I live and work in Nottingham and can travel all over the UK, or I can book us a meeting space. You choose.

As much as possible – but five years working agency side taught me that’s not always possible. During busy periods I can be booked 2-4 weeks in advance, but I always do my best to fit in last-minute bits for lovely people. Send me a note if you need something fast.

I can! If you need regular copy and don’t have an in-house writer, I’d be happy to help. Having me on retainer can also be really useful if we’re rolling out a new tone of voice; ask me to refresh existing comms, write new stuff, or review and feedback on your team’s copy to support handover.

Nope, sorry! I write three days a week and typically juggle a couple of projects at once, so committing entire chunks of time to just one client doesn’t work for me. But! I can still help with juicy, multi-layered projects – send me a brief, and I’ll pull together a timing plan.

As a digital personal stylist and meal planner, sure. As a writer? Ew, no. Never. I do what I do because I love it, and writing with AI seriously saps the fun out of the whole thing. And, it – well. It makes it crap. That said, I am experimenting with how my clients can use AI and testing how it responds to detailed guidance. I’ve included prompt directions in some clients’ voice guidelines, too. But my ideas and writing are always 100% me: human, thoughtful, valuable, and completely original.
